Trying to obtain Auto insurance seripticously is also illegal except that after you defraud the insurance company you will have graduated to a Felony Fraud Offense.. Maybe when you get pulled over this time for driving your fraudulently insured or uninsured vehicle on a suspended license. You'll get some jail time hunh.. If you have the money to buy a car then you obviously had the money to work on getting your license re-instated. You have therfore made a decision to continue breaking the law and will likely be putting other legal drivers at extreme risk.

Answer If you have a suspended license you shouldn't be driving and won't need car insurance. On the other hand, if you are attempting to comply with a court order to get car insurance before getting a provisional license, you may have to go to one of the insurance companies that cover special needs. Call around to different insurance companies to see whether they will write a policy that covers what you want. It may cost extra though. OR... just call an insurance company Like NationWide and they will do it in the State of Washington. I just did.
What happens if a person with a suspended license is driving another persons car who is licensed but doesn't have insurance and there was an accident that was the fault of the other driver?
Answer . \nFile a claim with the other party's carrier and hope that they accept liability for the incident, otherwise you may learn a lesson the hard way.
If you are at fault but there was no police report and the other driver was driving someone else's car and they have no insurance and a suspended license will your insurer or you still have to pay?
Answer . \nMost insurers are really going to want a police report before they pay. I suspect that the owner of the car is going to find some way of getting their car fixed. If they have the details about you, they are either going to approach your insurance company or you for compensation. They can file a police report, but usually the police want both parties to be present.
Answer . \nThe dealer is not going to care if you have a license except for identification. You would only need to show proof of insurance if you are financing the vehicle because if they are not financing it, they have no interest in what happens to it once it is off their lot.
Answer . It's called an SR-22 bond. Tell the insurance company that's what you need.
Depends on the circumstances behind the reason for your drivers license suspension. If you were involved in a criminal activity, bonding for a job probably won't be possible. Anytime a person's drivers license is suspended, that individual becomes a greater risk to bonding agencies, insureres, loan companies, etc. Suspension usually occurs because of a person doing an illegal activity. Bonding companies will review all your prior activities to ascertain if you are a trustworthy person or not.
If you have a suspended drivers license in Texas for no insurance can you get a drivers license in California?
Answer . You should not expect to be able to drive anywhere during the time of your Texas suspension, regardless of the reason.
Answer . Yes, You can still get auto Insurance on your own.. It is common for people to exclude an unlicensed spouse from from coverage on their Auto insurance Policy. This way you don't get penalized for your spouses driving record.
Yes you can get car insurance as a provisional driver with a provisional licence. This is so you can learn in a private vehicle. It has to be under a 1.2 litre i believe. The provisional driver has to be accompanied at all times by some one who has been driving for 3 years or more and is over the age of 21 years. in Maryland you have to have insurance before you can get a license but in north caroilna you have to have license to get insurance so really it depends on what state you live in!
Yes, you will need a driver's license in order to purchase a car.An insurance company wouldn't accept the risk of insuring anunlicensed driver.
yes, most companies and states require the veh to be insured, not the driver. you may get less premium if you car just sits in the driveway, but if a friend or family member is going to be using it regularly, they should be on your policy just in case. if they already live with you, they should be on you policy al ready.
You don't need to surrender your driver's license, it isn't validand they don't usually take it. If you are stopped, it will come upas suspended.
Will insurance cover the driver if they get into an accident and their driver's license is suspended?
Check the laws of your state and your policy. In my state, it is illegal to drive with a suspended license. Your policy will have exclusions and limitations that specify their position on damage incurred while engaged in illegal activity. In summary... NO.
No, Not necessarily, There are many insurance companies that will issue auto insurance coverage to you without a drivers license. It just depends on the underwriting requirements of the insurance company. Most of the larger national companies will require a drivers license first but many local and regional insurers will have no problem with it.
yes but you have to use the insurance to get you rlicense back and then show proof to the insurance agencie with in a time slot or the insurance is voided
The rules and laws of insurance vary from state to state but generally speaking it is the automobile that is insured not the driver. So if your friend allows you to drive her insured car and you are involved in an accident you are covered under her policy(((IF her insurance policy does not stipulate restrictions banning unlicensed drivers from operating the vehicle))) in which case her insurance may not cover damages done to her vehicle or injuries to the unlicensed driver.
No you can not. At least not in New York you can't. My liscense just got suspended, (for the 2nd time) (so i know what i am talking about, i have been through this before), and I can not insure or register a car in my name.
In VA you must provide proof of insurance before you get your license if you own a vehicle
"To own a car you need a license, thus, you need one to insure a car. They check your DMV driving record when you get insurance plus they count how many years driving as part of the method to determine insurance cost." Is the first sentence accurate? I am disabled and don't drive, but have an attendant drive me. Can I legally own a car, and have an attendant included on the vehicle insurance?
they cannot suspend you, only a court and the police can, however, they can refuse to insure you.
No - a suspended licence prohibits you from dirving ANY vehicle you would normally be covered to drive.
No. Private institutions (such as lenders) have no authority to have your licence suspended. Now, if you have a fine to pay to the state, and you fail to pay that , then the state can suspend your licence.
Some companies can offer you a policy even with a suspended license. I would contact an independent insurance agent that represents multiple carriers.
There are some companies that will offer insurance if your license is suspended, your best bet is a local insurance company that represents multiple insurance companies.
yes it can be... my brother had to pay a fee until he got it back Let's expand a bit on the above answer. Not having car insurance is not an offence. Driving a vehicle on public roadways without insurance is an offence. If you are convicted of this offense and issued a fine, and if you do not pay this fine in a manner prescribed by the court, your drivers licence can be suspended until you pay the fine, at which time you will be required to pay an additional $150.00 for reinstatement. This is for the province of Ontario, Canada. Many other jurisdictions have similar laws.
It MIGHT depend on your state law, but where I'm from, no. You do NOT have to have a driver's license to on a car, JUST TO DRIVE ONE! You should ask your local DMV to see what your state laws say.
An insurance company cannot suspend your license, period. Only the government can do that. What they can do is refuse to insure you. In practical terms, this may amount to the same thing, since most states make it illegal to drive without insurance (or some other proof of financial responsibility, such as a bond).
Yes, but you have to buy it straight out and you can't drive it on the road! Buying a car on credit, you need a valid Driver License in order to get Insurance. A car dealer wont release a car on credit without proof of insurance and Insurance companies won't give you coverage unless you have a valid Driver License.
Not in Canada. If your license is suspended, then any insurance claim that resulted from you driving while suspended would not be covered. If the car was damaged and it was parked and not being operated, then that is covered. But not if you are driving it.
With some companies they offer what is called a non-owners policy which allows you to purchase insurance coverage. These are used mostly because a client is required to have insurance coverage for a specific time by the Department of Motor Vehicles to straighten out their driver's license.
You cannot insure a vehicle that you do not own so the answer to the question is no. The insurance must be in the name of the vehicles owner. If there is a good reason that the owner has no license some insurance companies will allow the owner to purchase the insurance in their name but exclude themselves as a driver and list the person or persons who will be driving as listed drivers on the policy. This is a legally written policy.
If your license was suspended, and you were driving, it is quite likely that you insuror will NOT pay for the damages, and will cancel your coverage, because you were knowingly operating the vehicle unlawfully.
No. A drivers' license is issued by the DPS and only the DPS - or a court - can suspend someone's license. However, if Texas requires insurance and you don't have it, if an insurance company notifies DPS that you don't have insurance, then DPS could suspend your license.
What if a driver with a suspended license wrecks your car and isn't a listed driver on your insurance?
That driver will need to have insurance. You need to call your local agent and ask him this question. You may or may not be covered, and may or may not be responsible for damages. You are truly on a slippery slope.
Most insurance companies allow household members can be excluded if their drivers license is suspended. By signing an exclusion form this means that there is no coverage at all if the excluded person is driving one of the covered vehicles and a claim occurs.
Ordinarily an auto insurer will require a valid license as a condition of issuing a liability policy.
For your safety, wait till the suspension of your driving licencegets revoked. If you are already having a car insurance policy, andyour car is entangled into an accident during suspension period, you wont get any insurance claim from the insurance policy. You mayalso be trapped into police interrogation for driving with asuspended licence.
Yes, you can. You don't have to have a car insurance in order to have a driver's license.
What happens if the insurance of the one at fault insured is charging you for the damages and suspended your drivers license?
The insurance company has not authority to do what you are describing here. It sounds like you were really charged in this accident and deemed at fault and the Department of Motor Vehicles has suspended your license because you refused to pay a fine for the ticket you got in the accident. Also, the insurance company can file suit against you if you are found to be at fault and you decided not to cooperate with the investigation. If their was two stories as to who was at fault and you decided that you were right so you didn't bother to help the investigation with either company. Next, your insurance company could not fight on your behalf because you wouldn't assist them with the claim investigation. At this point, the claim would be deemed to be your fault and the rest fell into place after that. A company does not have the authority to do anything you have stated here so I don't really know what is happening. Sorry I can't help more.
How many years is your licensed suspended if you do not have insurance on your car and you get in an accident?
This will depend on your State and what their regulations are regarding this matter. In Georgia, your license will remain suspended until you finish reimbursing the party you hit and their insurance company who may have paid the claim under their uninsured motorists coverage. They will allow you to make payments over time to get it paid off. I remember a 15 year old girl that drove her Mothers vehicle. Because, she wasn't a licensed driver, the insurance company denied coverage and did not pay the claim. She could not get her first license until the $5,000 damage she caused was paid back to the other parties insurance company. The Mom had insurance but did not notify the company of the drivers and let an unlicensed driver drive the car and she new she had no license as it was her daughter.
Will the insurance company pay for a vehicle that was driven by a suspended license driver that no other cars was involved?
Probably not. Insurance companies will always look for ways tonegate or lower the amount of claim damage they have to pay out ascompensation. Driving the vehicle without a license (or a suspended one) wouldconstitute a breech of the contract/ agreement and they would notpay. Although if the vehicle were stolen and then driven by anunlicensed party (and the incident reported to the authorities),they would have to pay.
No, not usually. The insurance company has nothing to do with suspension of drivers licenses, that's up to the Department of Motor Vehicles or whatever it is in your state. I have seen times where a person owes an insurance company money from hitting an insured vehicle when the party at fault did not have insurance required by law. In these cases I have seen our state suspend a drivers license until the balance is paid in full to the insurance company. This is because it was due to failure to obey a state law of not driving without minimum required insurance limits. I saw once where a 15 year old could not get a license until this was paid off in full.
Yes, some dealers don't bother to check the buyer's drivinghistory. However, it will be most likely that you won't be able toregister your vehicle because of your suspended license.
